My grandfather was a surveyor in the Southern region of Sydney from the late 1960’s to the 2010’s. When I had to do industrial placement in high school, he was able to organise a week at his previous work in the surveying department. This is where I decided this was the career for me. Once High school finished, I studied at TAFE where I obtained Certificate III in Surveying and Spatial Information service. After this I started studying a Bachelor of Surveying at the University of Newcastle. During breaks from studying, I learnt and practised the skills required for virtual tours and custom map making. In my spare time I also have tried some photography and I have uploaded my favourite pictures.
